General Instructions

 
A student has to submit an application in the prescribed form duly completed and signed by him and his/her parent/ guardian. A student once admitted will be considered duly enrolled for the full academic Year unless he/she informs the Principle in writing of his/her intention to leave the college.

All admissions are valid only for the year and are provisional subject to the approval of the Government /the University of Mumbai as the case maybe and have renewed in the prescribed form for each year of the study in the college.

Admissions will be as per the directions issued by the University & Government from time to time and subject to availability of Seats in the college.

Provisional Eligibility
Students Passing an examination equivalent to XII of the higher secondary board of Maharashtra and from other states & immigrating from other Universities, Boards & seeking admission to the first year of the Three year integrated Degree Course will be admitted only on production of a Provisional Eligibility Certificate issued by the University of Mumbai, such Students should submit a migration Certificate, Statement of Marks and Passing Certificate in Original within two months from the date of admission, failing which their admission is liable to be Cancelled.

NOC
Students joining from other colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai will be admitted provisionally on a production of a No Objection Certificate from the principal of the college last attended, and that their admission will be confirmed only on receipt of the Transference Certificate (TC) from their previous college. For this Purpose, they should submit an application form along with TC. fees to the college office at the time of admission.

Provisional Statement of Eligibility Certificate as per the Provision made under Ordinance 111 of the University.

The Ordinance Is Reproduced Below.
Q.111 - A student from another University or Board of Secondary or Intermediate Education or any other Statutory examining body seeking admission to the University shall apply to the Registrar for a statement of eligibility and except in the case of students from the Universities in the State of Maharashtra, who shall be required to pay fee of Rs.200/¬only and for out of Maharashtra State pay a fee of Rs.300/- (Fee for the foreign Nationals is Rs.730/-). The Registrar may issue a provisional statement of eligibilty if he is satisfied that the applicant is prima facie eligible for admission to this University. On production of such a provisional statement of eligibility, a student may seek provisional admission to this University at his own risk and on condition that he submits to the Registrar's office through the Head / Principal of his Institution / college, the necessary certificates in original together with a typed copy of each for confirmation of his eligibility before the close of the academic term in which the student is provisionally admitted to the University. No student from another University shall be admitted to any Institution maintained by or affiliated to the University except on production of a provisional statement of eligibility issued by the Registrar.

Fees Refund
All fees paid by the student at the time of admission shall be refunded to him/her after deduction of certain amount as per the rules of University as administrative charges if the student desires to cancel the admission. Return of original school Leaving Certificate

After confirmation of admission by the university, if the admission is cancelled by student, the original school leaving certificate submitted shall not be returned, however in such cases the college will issue its own Leaving Certificate to the admitted student as per the provision of rule.

I. Card
All the students must keep their I-Card with them while they are in the college premises and must produce the same whenever required by the member of the staff or authority. Students without I-card are liable to disciplinary action. A duplicate I-Card will not be issued without the special permission of the principal.

Attendance and Grant of Terms
Attendance of the student is regulated by ordinance 0.1 19. The explanation issued by the university in this regard is for granting of terms, attendance of 75% of Theory, Practicals and Tutorials (wherever prescribed) separately will be required, out of the total number of lectures, practicals & Tutorials Conducted in the term. Students who fail to maintain the conditions of minimum attendance on account of bonafide illness, or any other reason which is deemed sufficient by principal, should apply in writing to the principal for leave of absence, prior to or within two days from the date of commencement of such leave; failing which they will be treated as defaulter. All applications for leave of absence along with medical certificate, if any to be submitted to the college office and not directly to any teacher. Students who request for leave of absence from lectures, practicals, tutorials for participating in sports, games, Cultural or any other activities for on behalf of the college should submit the application -countersigned by the respective professor in charge.

Parents are requested to kindly contact the professor - In - charge of class, Head of department, Principal, at least once in a term, to keep themselves abreast with ward's attendance and performance.

Library
General Rules:
. The computer terminal provided for students to search and requisition books shall be used with utmost care.

. Every student entering the library premises should have a valid college identity card. It should be produced as and when demanded by any of the library staff.

. Identity card & Library Card are non transferable.

. Students must handle books or periodicals etc. with great care. Any attempt to damage books or periodicals by defacing or tearing the pages will be treated as misconduct and strictly dealt with.

. If the original I - card, reader's card is lost, a duplicate card will be issued on payment of Rs. 100/-

Study Rooms Rules:
. A complete silence and strict discipline be maintained in the library and study room.

. If any reference is required, students should approach the librarian.

Home Issue:
. Every student is expected to read and strictly follow the instructions given on the reverse side of the reader's card.

. In case of late return of books students will have to pay a fine at due rate of Rs. 2/- Per day for the first week Rs. 4/- per day afterwards. In case of serious default the amount of fine may be increase up to Rs. 10/- per day.

. While charging the fine, holidays will be counted and no exemption will be granted in any case.

. Only text books will be issued for home reading.

. Re issue of the books will depend upon the demand for the same.

. All cases of disregard of these rules will be reported to the principal for appropriate action.
